ACNC Research

The comprehensive research program at the Arkansas Children’s Nutrition Center focuses on 10 research areas: Brain Development; cardiovascular health; childhood obesity; endocrine regulation; early diet's effects on health; immune development; metabolic programming; analytical methodologies; skeletal development; and women’s health. Our ultimate goal is to prevent diseases through optimizing early nutrition and physical activity.

Researchers take advantage of state-of-the-art core equipment and facilities such as:

In addition, our outpatient clinic provides rooms for the metabolic cart, dual energy X-ray absorptiometry, air displacement plethysmography, quantitative nuclear magnetic resonance, physical activities, and rooms for examinations and interviews. The outpatient clinic is also equipped with 6 living rooms for overnight studies.
