A plant physiologist studies the life
processes in plants. Plants look like they basically just sit there in the
soil. But they can be very busy with photosynthesis, taking in carbon dioxide
and giving off oxygen, and responding to light, temperature, moisture, insect
pests and chemicalsto name only a very few. A plant physiologist might
specialize in one particular process or become an expert in one particular
plant.
