Mission:
The Current Information Branch is assigned to cover specific ARS laboratories for the purpose of writing and distributing press releases, magazine articles and other specialized materials for newspapers, magazines, the ARS News Service, and other publications; producing specialized ARS newletters including Healthy Animals, Food and Nutrition Research Briefs, and Science for Kids; writing articles for Agricultural Research magazine; answering requests for information from the media, and advising ARS scientists on public information activities. The branch also provides photography for illustrating Agricultural Research magazine, the ARS News Service and other publications; and provides digital images via the Image Gallery on the ARS web site.
