Interpretive Summary: This paper prepares a summation and taxonomic interpretation of all currently published genera, families and orders of ascomycete fungi. The significance of this work is to provide a standardized list of fungi of value to plant pathologists and others working with fungi.

Technical Abstract: The present classification contains all accepted genera and taxa above the generic level in phylum Ascomycota.
